What martial arts are good for ground fighting other than the usual Jiu Jitsu, BJJ and Muay Thai?
there japanese style jujutsu, there's sambo, judo, wrestling, believe aikido in there take downs , reason people take granted. if want compete in mma, though, aikido horrible because there lot of small digit manipulation. aikido takes type develop.
if plan on taking wrestling, i'd sugest catch wrestling because has lot of submissions included.
anyways, jujutsu awesome actual street defense. teach types of locks including other locks illegal in bjj. friend , practiced jujutsu , showing pressure point fighting take downs had breaking guy's arm while taking him down. type of jujitsu not allowed in mma tournaments because of lethal nature of jujutsu, not take away bjj notably lethal style, jujutsu deadlier , emphasizes on many other things. influenced judo , bjj.
sambo derivative of jujutsu, judo , wrestling. allowed leg locks , arm locks no chokes allowed. fedor, arlovski , think, although wrong, i've heard vladimir putin practiced sambo.
kyle, asked best grappling art asked few different ground fighting styles.
edit: jcbal, know nothing martial arts if think aikido compliant. asked few ground fighting choices , aikido weight distribution , flow. nothing mma fanboy , care nothing martial arts. can want know martial arts , perform whatever wish put down aikido because "too submissive" saying judo submissive. work on same principle flow , weight distribution more important strength.
i know these ground fighting artforms, didn't selection of schools these arts. other artforms on ground. considering wrestling...
