How effective was the Articles of Conderation from 1781 to 1789 to the united states?

articles of confederaton decentralized , weak design. had fought war against monarchy , against taxes. articles of confederation had unicameral goverment, of power vested in states rights. government did not have power tax, asking voluntary money states. had no standing army , no right regulate commerce. unimaous vote needed amend articles, while 9 states of 13 needed pass legistlation. can see, hard passed.

shay's rebellion perfect example @ huge flaws of articles of confederation. once our founding father in philly, we'll knock out the constiution.

however, important legislation passed under articles such nw ordinace, process of statehood, , land ordinace, public sale of land territory.

alright, dbq , confused, "from 1781 1789 articles of confederation provided united states effective government." using documents , knowledge of period, evaluate statement.
