Fees for medical studies in INDIA?

hostel + food + travel + books etc cost rs 60,000 rs 80,000 – on 5 ½ years work out rs. 3 4 lacs on duration of course.

1. indian government medical colleges / universities least cost in terms of low budget of medical education. indians can apply admission medical colleges owned center or funded center – example – bhu, amu, jipmer, aiims etc. apart states have 15% seats in state owned colleges reserved cbse pmt – 2000 seats.

2. state govt. medical colleges: low cost. have domicile of state & sit state pmt exam admission these colleges.

govt. colleges in india charge fees ranging between rs. 10,000 p.a. rs. 75,000 p.a. cost of education low – subsidized government or rather our tax money.

there 15,000 govt seats on offer per annum , there 3-400,000 applications. have study hard 1 of these seats.


3. private medical colleges / universities / deemed universities – seats on merit: private colleges offering merit seats via examination such comed k, manipal exam, sikkim manipal exam, dy patil exam etc.

each state many have 1 or more associations of private medical , dental colleges conduct exam , admit students on basis of merit in exam. deemed universities , private universities conduct own examination. there multiplicity of exams admission private colleges in india.

fees range rs. 3 5 lacs year or rs. 15 25 lacs on duration of course.
add rs 4 lacs books / hostel / food etc.

cost of education rs. 19 29 lacs on 5 ½ years if private college on merit.


4. nri seats / management quota seats: these cost double merit seats. in addition fees college wants additional front payment of rs. 10 20 lacs depending on college’s location , reputation.

prepared pay between rs. 30 40 lacs course (fees only).

cost of life , food etc extra. rich can afford these seats.
