2006 mercedes-benz c230 acceleration problem?

bought used 06 c230 2 weeks ago, has 46k miles on it's relatively new. anyways, when put foot on gas (fairly heavily) takes 2-3 seconds , sudden burst of acceleration, don't right away. , morning when backing out ov garage felt gas pedal pushing down, don't know if these 2 problems interrelated appreciated.
