Is PLC Juniors a good route to go?

in arotc, had disenroll because had become part time student semester (my mom had major surgery , can't herself few months) wanted marine , wanted know if plc best route or nrotc. commute , live hour away college problem nrotc id have leave house @ 0345 pts. can go plc @ end of freshman year because full time student then. how hard it? played college football (until got hurt) won't shocked yelling, don't know if helps. how hard selected oso? when should apply?
