How do I advertise myself as a musician?

how advertise myself locally serious bassist looking serious band want write music? i'm tired of joining bands friends try put together, , 1 practice have screwing around....

not allowed have myspace or facebook. no, won't go behind parents' backs one. asked mom, , not allowed post bulletin @ community center or put classified in newspaper. nor allowed advertise online in way. i've tried spreading news word of mouth, not working. help! have ideas @ all? need band, because playing bass @ church isn't challenging, though fun. want out there writing music team. not playing other peoples' music , posting youtube videos of it. far, see no options because parents have cut out resources. how else can word out?
