A quick guide to navigating an aircraft?

ok, basic system of air navigation called "dead reckoning", using basic principles of air navigation - heading, airspeed , time. if start @ defined point, using time, heading , speed, can navigate anywhere in type of aircraft whether it's cessna 172 or sr-71. variable in concept wind, alter both course , speed depending on direction , velocity of wind. longer route, more course affected wind, why take occasional readings on position along route can make adjustments.

bottom line - if start out on defined point, can accurately navigate route long manage heading , speed. example, (formerly) if flying inbound on bombing run against target, long can identify ip (initial point), every system in aircraft can fail long fly heading, speed , time required, can hit target.

pilots taught of sophisticated navaids have now, dead reckoning basic form of air navigation.

how pilots know go , putting aircraft in place go there? know trained curious know how if knows how.
