How do you adjust a clutch on a 96 Subaru Legacy Outback?

yes right that's 1 adjust clutch, before subi
did have change clutch on subaru ? if yes go # 1 solution below .
when last time had clutch changed ? if not long time go # 2, if has been replaced go #3

1) if had replace clutch remember if did professional job on following pars should have been change or resurface clutch , flywheel , pressure plate , clutch pilot bushing , , other parts . takes around 300 miles until ( pressure plate , clutch , flywheel ) fit's again .


2) depending on how many people drive car they use ,wear , or burn clutch differently anyway clutches dont lasts ever wear out under normal driving , if clutch has not been change long time time new 1
here simple way of testing clutch
) start car
b ) press clutch , hold there
c ) bring rpm guage number 3 ( each rpm =1000 3x1000= 3000 rpm ) , put car in 3rd gear
d ) release clutch fast " important notice " car lurch forward
e) if car dies bingo clutch fine , no further action necessary
f ) if car not die may need new clutch .

3 ) if repleaced cluch give time, remenber adjust clutch should never make tight , should loosen screw ( cable have little play plresure plate apply full presure clutch )

i have 5 speed 2.2l set up. cable clutch on car, can see linkage on top of trans adjustment on it, im not sure if right one. first cable clutch have messed with.
