work licensed aircraft mechanic (in us), require faa mechanic's rating. no school required, 18 months experience in either airframe or engine practical work, or total of 30 months in both sub-specialties. qualifies sit either airframe, engine or combined exam. approve schools may substituted experience requirement, not required.

approved schools offer college level course work, such bachelor of science level courses asking about.

advantage student s/he graduates college degree, has no bearing on ability become licensed mechanic.

differences between degree uses "technology" , 1 uses term "engineering" more math , academic courses required allow school confer "engineering" degree.
