What is a good book to read of metaphysical poetry for someone unfamiliar with the subject?

these days there lots of anthologies of metaphysical poetry around (the penguin book of metaphysical poetry 1 of personal favourites), can hardly go wrong.

metaphysical poetry out of fashion in english several centuries after samuel johnson's dismissal of donne , cowley in 'lives of english poets'.

modern high respect metaphysicals largely originates herbert grierson's twentieth century anthology 'metaphysical lyrics , poems'.

if love metaphysical poetry should read grierson cover cover; since available online (you can find print copies).
