Is student blanket insurance worth it?

pretty every college requires have form of health coverage may not have choice whether or not enroll in plan. i've been 2 community colleges, private university, , state university , each 1 required me submit waiver updated card proving covered under private insurance plan. charge placed on account refunded cost of school's insurance plan after submitted waiver , card. student health plans aren't private plans through employer, they're still better nothing. want stuck thousands of dollars in medical bills if you're hospitalized without insurance? or have pay $100 prescription cost $10 insurance?

i have no health insurance, , college offering me student blanket health insurance plan through pearce , pearce incorporated. question is...is insurance worth it? has had experience kind of insurance before?
