How far would you commute for a job (not a career)?

i'm college student looking new part-time job, , haven't gotten callbacks places i've applied close home... found job fits qualifications , schedule, it's @ least 30 min. away. city somewhere go shopping , eating out friends, on weekends since it's little bit of drive. take interstate there, doesn't make drive seem long. i'd love apply, have nagging feeling distance (gas , "what ifs" bad weather make drive difficult). i've driven there many times, recreational purposes. question is, how far commute job wasn't actual career? area wasn't first choice in terms of work, it's not ever ruled out either - main reason still considering wanting keep options open when there doesn't seem lot available in hometown. nice have job besides being avon saleswoman - i'm used working while i'm in school (i had job helping disabled family member after leaving last place of employment, no longer necessary there, , still no responses employers). know people commute city jobs. insight might me in weighing options?
