2004 pontiac grand am -broken windshield wiper linkage bushing?

little plastic bushing holds apparatus broken, windshield wiper on driver's side doesn't work anymore. we've tried superglue , such, doesn't stick. bushings can find on ebay, , don't know if they'll fit grand am. else sells them themselves. read somewhere cut round top off of bushing , hold cotter pin, work? everywhere else sell whole transmission, instead of linkage arm or plastic bushing. advice? once again, car 2004 pontiac grand am.
