Have you ever purchased a luxury car? including a BMW, Lexus, and mercedes benz. what were the step you took?

wow, sounds school paper, i'll bite. purchased lexus.

consumer segment - first , obviously, not poor......divides along economic lines more racial or age.

factors - same factors influence car purchase. want car feel represents (generalizing, 30 year olds don't want lincoln town car, 70 year olds don't want porsche.....ok, maybe do). price , value still count, in upscale market. expected reliability, factor vehicle purchase. yes, name recognition , prestige count too.

outside influences exist - perception of others, don't want vehicle others view overly ostentatious or tacky - reason see many celebrities driving prius. family size factors - have preferred 2 seater, not option w/ family of 4 (even though mine not primary family car). family values - believe dollar not wisely saved or invested dollar wasted (these not luxury car buyers).

•how consumers segmented in market? demographics- , psychographics-, geodemography-
•what factors influence standard steps in decision making process
•what outside influences exist (i.e. – groups, contexts, social, family or household, etc.)?
