Question for people in oil painting and/or have done oil painting?

in art class have abstract painting. thinking in stead of doing traditional pinting on sides except top , bottom. here mean.

1. on main front normal abstract , on take old painting ive done , change bit buy cutting out various canvas paper , pasting on , in cutt out squares the covered section size bigger kinda wha t u see if u saw object through glass bottle or cup.
2. , on sides have 30 x 3 or 4 (havent decided size) , paint 1 solid color , mix small object bit of use sunflower seeds or whatever , paint on top in specific design.

, of course each frame pasted whole way.

u think idea? sugestions?
