What is a good beginner camera for skateboarding photography?

have been shooting skateboarding 8 years. recommend nikon d90 if yo have money if not can start d3000 (your price range) these current cameras nikon. settings easy use , d90 comes in smaller body. going spend change on lenses suggest nikkor 10.5 fish , sigma 10-20mm wide angle, both produce epic shots. if want serious skateboarding photography going have spend more 500. once ready move d300 these have more advanced settings. not recommend going higher these putting camera in harms way best not have huge expensive camera. key going off camera strobes, make difference in photography!! luck! check pawn shops older models such d70, sick camera! if see examples of shots using d200 check out photo blog http://smashthirteen.tumblr.com/

i'm new photography looking entry level camera shoot friends skating. i'm not looking spend more $500. lens suggestions helpful well.
