Where can i get seatbelts for the Mk5 Volkswagen Golf?

if need new seats either because car in accident or belts have chewed dog or sort of pet, you'd foolish attempt save money purchasing belts @ other dealership.

seat belts supplied car must meet fmvss 208, (federal motor vehicle safety standard 208) relates forward movement, operation of shoulder lock/movement lock mechanism , more, rules designed protect in accident. aftermarket belts may or may not meet standard , i'd advise against purchase of used belts salvage vehicle. 1 not know exposure of forces belt may have been exposed in collision, nor if functional or not.

new sealt belt/shoulder assembly meet safety standard vehicle designed around. realize seat belt assemblies aren't inexpensive, safety , safety of others, seat belts should replaced after accident or when belts 10 years old or older. companies can re-web older seat belt assembly materials meet fmvss 208 standard material, not mechanism itself. also, seat belt reel assemblies tensioner 1 time usage , once deployed may not work designed. in designs of seat belt/shoulder harness assembly, act ignitor assembly side and/or curtain air bags protect body; these designs not meant reused again , must replaced once again protect in accident. same thing true of active head restaints on many of front seats of cars today. once active headrest has been activated, controll assembly inside seat needs either reset or replaced after accident.

have no axe grind here; no economic interest or hidden movitation in say. concern job right , perform needed parts replacements in interest of protecting , around you. attempting save pennies on issue of safety foolish; after accident walk away no or slight injuries, forget cost of safety... you're glad in condition.
