What's a printer drum?

that's tough 1 answer. hp printers use single, combined toner/drum cartridge, whereas kyocera printers typically have separate drum & toner cartridges. each printer model within manufacturer have different cartridges , different estimated life spans cartridges.

hp's cartridges use rough estimate of printable pages given amount of toner in each cartridge , on 5% toner coverage per page, entire cartridge, drum , toner, replaced.

kyocera printers have rated life span drum, , separately there's 1 developer assembly (toner cartridges attached developer assy needed), projected rating each toner cartridge how many pages handle.

2 different designs, make if hard compare easily, fact there many different manufacturer models try make kind of comparsons to. hp printer cartridges rated 2,000 copies, while others can rated 5,000 7,000 copies or more depending on model. same can said kyocera's. you'd have prolonged study comparison of printers have see how cost in terms of consumable parts on period of time, or specifications each model , compare them along prices of each of components see how fare against each other.

at work, use hp , kycera printers, better in terms of drum performance , toner price?
