Why did the United States Chamber of Commerce say that Tax Payers should help BP pay for the spill?

seems house minority leader john boehner agrees chamber. no surprise there really, conservatives believe in corporate welfare only. wonder happened conservative talk smaller government , less spending. wonder think government should money give corporations when hate paying taxes. hate corporations , wealthy pay taxes, is, , want go old days when bush administration made middle class carry tax burden.

"however, president said concerned british energy giant might not process claims enough people suffering economic losses due disaster.

"my understanding is, bp has contracted $50 million worth of tv advertising manage image during course of disaster," said. "in addition, there reports bp paying $10.5 billion -- that's billion b -- in dividend payments quarter.

"now, don't have problem bp fulfilling legal obligations," said. "but want bp clear, they've got moral , legal obligations here in gulf damage has been done. , don't want hear is, when they're spending kind of money on shareholders , spending kind of money on tv advertising, they're nickel-and-diming fishermen or small businesses here in gulf having hard time."

i know chamber of commerce represent conservative viewpoint , sides corporations, ridiculous.
