Why are my cockatiels pulling each others' beaks?

have 2 cockatiels, have had them week or , 2 weeks old when got them. hand-fed breeder, , they're pretty friendly. however, they'll grab each others' beaks , tug. game or fight? they'll growl or tweet while it, both, 1 bird attempt wrestle.
think 1 boy , 1 girl, don't appear mating (plus they're young gender hard tell) don't think that's they're doing.
why this? do it? many times they'll along , fly around calling each other, trying figure out other landed, hanging out when find each other
