PHILOSOPHY Idealism in education?


idealism valuing thought process (or idea) more fact.

materialistic teachers teach 2+5 = 7 asking enough people in class "how 2+5" until remembered 7. idealistic teacher "hold 2 fingers on 1 hand , 5 fingers on other , count number of fingers raised, thereby teaching idea of addition rather naked facts of addition.

can student/teacher of philosophy explain concept of idealism in education example ... cant understand , have write paper on it...thx
