check department head make sure you're not stepping on toes. in of , affluent universities have strict rules can , can't. if not restriction in auditioning process shouldn't problem. remember if there bachelor's degree program theatre, more degree seeker principle roles. unless don't blow them away director asks consider changing major.

colleges , universities have degree seeking program have requirement need graduates have completed before graduate. it's kinda' resume builder , show off teaching student received.

tell you, choruses , ensembles have more work more costume changes more time them in onstage larger numbers , career intended can longer term work.

if university won't or can't let participate in projects try community theatre. every town has 1 somewhere whether sponsored , granted city or rehearsing in someone's barn. when find them, community players, find lot of others not seeking degree.

is possible audition plays or musicals @ university not major in theater? interested in acting , singing , have wanted part of musical i'm not interested in doing long run.
