Is using a scooter for commuting worth it?

great asset have. can still carry groceries (although limited) on scooter. , quick work make gas. have consider weather. depending on brand get, last long time , make initial investment.

i want buy scooter commuting , going around town. commuting short. 8 miles round trip, going downtown 15 miles each way , there grocery stores , coffee shops , that. worth getting scooter because of awesome fuel economy or not worth 2k+ expense?
