I am interested in film photography - any help?
there literally millions of books out there help. have realize digital cameras have not been around long @ all...even 2000's, people still using film. , photography books in late 90's , 2000's still discussed 35mm film photography. until recently, photography "film photography." that's there was.
if interested in traditional film photography, older book might because basics. right now, 1 thing if learn how use manual exposure. learn , understand basic photography terminology iso , how set aperture , shutter speed, etc. old photography book on ebay or in public library. search "35mm" "photography," etc. 1 book recommend "basic 35mm photo guide" craig alesse. it's old book, re-printed recently, , saw in book store. discusses basic photographic terminology , techniques in easy read , understandable way. should able find copy on amazon, ebay, etc.
once film photography, there many different kinds of film , formats can use. common 35mm film , bigger cameras use 120 roll film. 120 film give better picture quality, , considered more of "professional" or "advanced" film. 35mm film give excellent pictures if have camera , expose film properly. in fact, film give better quality pictures digital. people have no idea because they're used taking snapshots cheap digital point , shoot camera, , have no idea how sharp film can be. (i know i'm going voted thumbs down saying that, it's truth).
heck, if this, might learn how develop own film @ home! develop own black , white film, , it's pretty easy do. , more people getting it. there's kind of "retro" movement going on , more people getting traditional photography. there lot of websites , groups on flickr, people film photography , have own darkroom @ home. know of few kids learned how develop b&w film , darkroom prints.
luck! email me if have other questions or there way can help.
