had conversation mormon friend , among many other things stated mormon church has vast archives of documents of general public , historians not allowed view or examine because not "faith promoting" (whatever means).

there splinter groups of mainstream mormon church have differing history of mormon church , according friend there areas mormon story of history different non-mormons history of church.

"mormon history" official mormon story differ "mormon splinter group history" story these splinter groups give? "mormon history" differ or contradict "official history" meaning people (non-mormons) believe.
