Which history is most interesting?

if sake of general interest whatever interests you, speaking experience if looking "specialization" teach @ university level best served (sadly) picking politically correct apparently knows history of 2500 year old ancient europeans (and yes in job market there said having general knowledge accompany specialization of course) noone familiar "women in history," "latin american history," "african american history," idea.

i love history , i've read many books wwii mesopotamia , japanese history, etc. think should consider specialize in topic whether period or region. suggestions? has been bugging me since summer started.
