What did Pontiac's war have to do with Thomas Paine's Common Sense?

1763, british had control of of northeastern north america. of indians displeased treatment british. main concern of indians continued settlement of people along western frontier,

pontiac began organizing many indian tribes rebel against british. pontiac's message of united indian resistance accepted among many groups, including delawares, hurons, illinois, kickapoos, miamis, potawatomies, senecas, shawnees, ottawas, , chippewas. after final council in 1763, warfare began. pontiac's goal drive british eastern side of appalachian mountains.

in 1763 began two-year siege, known pontiac's war, against british garrisons in region, ended in surrender in 1765.
brought treaty @ fort niagara ended rebellion.
act of parliament proved major reason american revolution 12 years later.

paine's political pamphlet brought rising revolutionary sentiment sharp focus placing blame suffering of colonies directly on reigning british monarch, george iii.
first , foremost, common sense advocated immediate declaration of independence, postulating special moral obligation of america rest of world.
not long after publication, spirit of paine's argument found resonance in american declaration of independence.
