Sim City 4: How to make commute time shorter?

simcity 4 great game complicated , requires professional knowledge players. also, problem many bugs game has , mods made enthusiastic players , fans of game solves not completely.

first, have ask you: have network add-on mod (nam - preferably june 2009 edition)?? nam essential , crucial better experience of game , expands rush hour expands basic simcity 4! it's crucial have it. mission of nam improve bugs , inefficiency of maxis networks (roads, avenues...)

ok, imagine have nam. still, have have high knowledge of how make city functional, provide sims ability go 1 part of town other fast can. have build lot of high-capacity networks - subway, tram, el, monorail. 'answer' said, it's bit of enigma how place industry far away not pollute air residents still near enough sims can there quickly. also, 'answer' said it's important have traffic network residential neighborhoods factory districts.

then, did connect neighbor cities , sims go work other cities? example, can make 1 city nice residential , commercial neighborhood while have adjacent city polluting, industrial center. can have 'commute long' issue. still, have make networks, enough of workplaces now, nasty catch neighbor cities - imagine have 4 cities interconnected in square , 1 corner border 4 of them. if 4 of them populated , have workplaces , if connect them in such way make loop (road connecting every neighbor city) can make trouble , 'no work' problem. why? imagine in 1 city have residents , workplaces , connection neighbor has workplaces (industry,commerce). if neighbor connection closer residents work zone in city of residents go work neighbor city instead of industry zone. because sims think work behind border , it's closer zone in city. go neighbor city. imagine have work zone in city neighbor connection 3rd city. if 3rd city has jobs , if connection closer sims came 1st city zone in city again continue travel 3rd city instead of settling , finding job in 2nd. if imagine same 4th city sims travel in circle making them 'forever travelers' , can devastate of cities because shows false data workplaces , travelers.

hope understood of recommendation it's best have in 1 city or don't interconnect many cities or make 'loops of doom'! :)
