Problems with Internet Explorer 8 History?

if go under tools, in top right corner, see 'internet options.' click on that, , open box, in middle see button 'settings' under 'browsing history' section. can adjust amount of history displayed.

i having problem getting internet explorer 8 search history. shows sites visited today viewing options. cannot history yesterday, 1 week ago, , 2 weeks ago etc.

how display history, or how turn on.
