okay stanford asking question historical event have witnessed. now...this history... occurred year(capture of journalist taliban - , how escaped after 8 months - kind of want witness , experience emotions, fear, courage etc of such life changing struggle)? event considered history - though reported month ago?

im sure official definition of history talks events in past. average person history perceived as? @ least decade ago? 5 years ago @ least? 50 years ago?
