What does a photography portfolio consist of?

photography portfolio consists of several pictures proud of in specific genre profiling.
example: if applying job, portfolio should applicable job applying for. wedding photographer should have wedding shots. should illustrate kind of pictures , in style shoot.
if general marketing photography job, can cover many genres should have portfolio cover many styles comfortable with. in case include product pictures, landscape photos, model shots , head shots. want show can , @ level.

medium, largely going depend on how want present yourself. if presenting in front of client use quality portfolio album, or digital presentation. if presenting employer might want little less elaborate, yet still professional. employers not going retain portfolio, should prepared let them hold on it, resume. if want leave copy potential employer, suggest have print copy digital copy on cd, dvd, or thumb drive. might cost bit more, increase chances exponentially.
