other gods idols or adhere other true god. statues, or molten images, satan, etc., let there no other gods before means nothing comes before god, not family.

throughout old testament (or torah) god fights wars against enemy tribes , gods , continuously tells jews not worship other gods. creator of everything, did god create other gods or being status of god mean "the" god have existed?
