Car Crash - Insurance HELP?

had car crash yesterday. @ cross roads , there people crossing when shouldn't have been, concentrating on them , unfortunately turned right car! first crash , upset everything!
don't know do. have own insurance policy have been driving less year quite high!

should claim insurance company? i'm worried if insurance go massively next time try insure myself? , affect me future?

or try , pay myself , not involve insurance companies keep 1 year no claims (except may £1000 or more)!

know how insurance rise after 1 crash?

(at moment pay £250 excess , 1400 year insurance)

want work out how paying on insurance if claim or if worth paying myself , therefore money spend same added on insurance policy!
