Topics for an essay in genealogy?

have lot of information on related to/family tree/genealogy. have found out lot, feel lack structure not sure professor after (and yes have asked her). need write essay based on geneology relating specific religious faith (that class about), , found family related important person in respect bringing faith area. problem is, not want project on him, has been talked sevenfold in our class. have access relative has research, etc on it, , appeared in video regarding it, unsure of ask her, not have real "point" essay. don't feel have arguement, or story in specific tell. not sure how structure essay researching line of genealogy of family either. want emphasize of essay around relative have access to, unsure of point of essay be. being more modern, wouldnt have had major of impact on faith, though research , art remind people of it. thing can think of either asking if knew stories regarding settlers of faith first came here wouldnt in history books, or (and main idea), emphasizing how history should not forgotten, emphasizing different ways of how (through art, etc.), , how knowing family history can keep things going may have lost otherwise. i'm not sure if thats enough, or if need specifying why knowing history important faith, since class on specific faith , traditions. thanks!
