fine arts includes artworks created aesthetic reasons ('art art's sake') rather commercial or functional use.
designed uplifting, life-enhancing qualities, fine art typically denotes traditional, western european 'high arts', such as: drawing, painting, printmaking , sculpture etc..

let me explain in details..

• drawing
using charcoal, chalk, crayon, pastel or pencil or pen , ink.

• painting
using oils, watercolour, gouache, acrylics, ink , wash, or more old-fashioned tempera or encaustic paints. explanation of colourants, see: colour in painting , colour pigments, types, history.

• printmaking
using simple methods woodcuts or stencils, more demanding techniques of engraving, etching , lithography, or more modern forms screen-printing, foil imaging or giclee prints.

• sculpture
in bronze, stone, marble, wood, or clay.

type of western fine art, originated in china, calligraphy: highly complex form of stylized writing. calligrapher since last 25 years.

visual arts includes fine arts new media , contemporary forms of expression such assemblage, collage, conceptual, installation , performance art, photography, , film-based forms video art , animation, or combination thereof. type of visual art, created on monumental scale new environmental land art.
