Should a crucifix demonstrate the suffering Christ experienced for our souls?

peculiar, , depressing story. start sculpture had been outside church since 1964, , seems new vicar rev ewan souter took exception it.

think point artistic rather religious, sculpture "modernist", it's not typical crucifix of roman catholic type, looks yet case of "philistinism" against "modern art" , using "putting people off" argument excuse, after presumably didn't number of years.
