Nissan Rogue Question?

purchased nissan rogue last august. it's great car, except complete lack of visibility on passenger side of car. there huge blind spot! bought wide angle mirror, helps. however, have found impossible in heavy , fast moving traffic, negotiate lane change. because cars have 'appeared' right without warning. have been 'creamed' few times. has else experienced problem? have heard toyota rav has similar issues.
