If you get a therapeutic service dog for autistic son?

2 questions:
1) breed therapeutic dogs autistic children? our son "deep pressure" therapy (tight squeezes) , know interested in large dog can not squeeze little dog! plus large dogs meant kind of therapy found out through research. live in apartment husband goes on 45 minute jog every morning , plans on taking whatever dog chose him. , live in ca hot!! not interested in opinions on dog "cute" or "good kids" interested in opinions on therapeutic dogs autism.....basically, can ugliest dog on block long helps son.
2) if therapeutic service dog autistic child, how go getting "certified" interested in training dog ourselves because of financial reasons, know difficult (no doubt) have literally 0 other options. once obtain dog , train them, how go getting them "certified" disability dog?

don't need anyones opinion on fact getting dog son, needs @ point , decision made (and our still making) great care.
