Does a double major in theater and marketing sound like a good plan?

love theater , want become designer or stage manager or stage , technical because know become successful actor takes alot of luck , unless connected business, average person has little chance become famous. while know have better chance @ finding work doing technical in theater , or tv/film how many jobs realistically available in industry? if cant find work in showbusiness else qualifed for? think having secondary area of exertise in marketing make me more marketable in doing compared degree in theater.
