Car audio Amplifier problem?

few weeks when turned car off subwoofers make little scratching sound. untill today when turned amp , off, there loud scratching sound , pop. looked , there bunch of smoke , bad smell. before took amp out made sure ground , power werent touching , weren't. when took amp out, fuse not blown or anything. hooked see if got power , still does. im scared hook subs cuz dont want blow them or anything. way amplifier boss 2500w , 1 sub rockford fosgate p3 , other spl both 12" bought amp month ago , im pretty mad this. please let me know went wrong , how fix it. thank you.
