Is there a commmon language used by international aircraft pilots?

pretty simple. english international language used in commercial aviation. way, in air can understand being said , situationally aware of going on in area. example, if cleared in english land on runway in paris , aircraft france cleared in french onto same runway takeoff, not realize there potential conflict because of language barrier. but, when using same language, makes safer. of accents of foreign controllers still make tough understand being said though.

how communicate flight control if dd not speak language of country landing in. how handled?
