Is my photography good for a beginner?

i'm 17 , hobby photography , hope make career out of day. @ moment, i'm using 5mp compact digital camera, don't have slr yet (i'm waiting 18th birthday) know work on lighting , not, don't have lot of basic knowledge yet. that's uni :)

thing have natural talent, need developing? or still have long way go?
