Need a special part for my 1988 toyota camry?

have 1988 toyota camry, recently, brake lights , running lights totally went out. checked bulbs, fuses, , changed stupid brake light switch. looked harder on internet , found out real problem was, problem thing called "tail light outage sensor", small yellow box size of tape measure located right underneath antenna kind of inside frame of trunk. thing supposed not allow both of brake lights go out @ once, obviously, didn't work. dad electrician , after few different test , confirmed indeed problem. problem is, cant find new 1 (or used matter) sale anywhere! of local junkyards sold out, , specific toyota dealerships want on $200 extremely cheesy piece, , there no way spending kind of money. know can 1 less? or fixes work? or have experience on matter? great thanks
