Question about my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix?

hello! have question 2001 pontiac grand prix. happened more in summertime when weather warmer, happened me today in 55 degree weather... need help. if drive while , idles in drive thru or , park afterwards , try starting again within couple of minutes, starts up, shudders, dies. , try start couple of times, never turn on. leave alone 10-15 minutes , starts , drives normally. temperature guages never read above average wondering if car warm or something.
