No signal on monitor?

monitor stays blank when turn on desktop. computer worked fine half year ago after relocating, getting now. besides monitor, else runs fine - sata hard drive, both cd roms, fans, no beeps motherboard. i've tried following:

1) checked cable connection monitor. monitor worked fine when plugged laptop.

2) took out pci-e graphics card, hooked monitor built-in graphics card on motherboard. took out cmos battery , both ram cards, put them back. monitor still didn't work.

3) put pci-e graphics card back, hooked monitor pci-e graphics card. took out cmos battery , both ram cards, put them back. monitor still didn't work.

4) repeated step 2) unplugged both cd-roms

googled problem , seems have exhausted options except replacing motherboard. other suggestions?
