I want to sell my handmade crafts on the internet--what do i need to know about payments,S&H, and taxes?

have handmade product want start selling on internet. made website, etc, desperately need know how go accepting payment products , shipping , handling, , tax info. (i live in california)

ex: if customer contacts me , wants buy x items total of $25.--i assume can accept check or cashiers check,-----what paypal?---and how go accepting credit card products?... (i simple 1 woman operation , have not sold on internet yet)....and s&h rates based on size or weight of box , location, right? add state tax? need licenses or ? , lastly, need report sales (if any) irs/taxman?? thank help!wish me luck!
