2006 Subaru STI Tuning Help?

hi, im planning buy 2006 subaru sti soon, don't know tuning crowd. since dream car, love mods inclue exhaust , intake. know car rated @ 18/23mpg. wondering since worries performance tuning. wondering if can maybe use boost controller, or ecu map set for, detuning turbo on weekend drive, increase gas mileage,etc have capabilities of still obtaining 300hp when needed if car pulls challenge ;p. wondering since know nissan altimas 2.5 175hp, , 30 in city if im correct. wondering if possible, , how should this. thanks, hope guys can help!!
