smith left england after 2 years, relationship wasn't romantic.
smith told story of being rescused death pocahontas in 1616. in 1630, wrote took place in turkey in 1602. if story @ true, got lot of milage out of it. there's no record of powhatan/algonquin's having ceremony of sort smith describes.
