Brand new monitor not displaying?

bought asus vw224u black 22" 2ms(gtg) widescreen lcd monitor, new cyber power pc.

so, bought both of them within past month, , today received desktop. went plug in , monitor displays nothing. keeps on sayin vga/dvi no signal.

do? i've tried 2 different connectors, , doesn't display.
