What is a book of poetry?

can choose variety , on 1 subject like: children, love, hate, morals, or thought of life, etc. or combination of things , more. tell story , 5 or more poems can chapter @ time (but in case, keep reader's attention don't profound don't it). , classmate's right, check library insight.

i want know book of poetry is... each poem follow story in book? epic poem homer's iliad? or variety of individual poems made book?
have examples?
